Gem- the gem — my Dog- the precious!
She is a spring girl, this one — born on the last breath of April, when the light is still deciding how warm it wants to be, and everything is tipping toward bloom. It shows in the way she meets the world. The door opens — five minutes since she was last out — and she bolts through as if the world outside has been reborn in the five minutes she was gone.
